Built in 2000, Paul Brown Stadium -- named after the Hall of Fame coach and founder of both the Browns and Bengals franchises -- has been hailed for its futuristic design and fan amenities. Seventy percent of its seating layout is built along the sidelines for optimal sight lines to the field. The stadium also features 7,600 club suites and 114 private suites with retractable glass windowns. Giant murals of past Bengals greats are plastered along plaza-level concourses of so-nicknamed PBS.
In 2007, a Harris Interactive survey ranked Paul Brown Stadium as the 101st on a list of 150 of America's favorite buildings and structures. The Bengals installed new synthetic playing surface for the 2012 season manufactured by UBU Sports. To build PBS, more than 95,000 cubic feet of concrete was poured and more than 9,100 tons of structural steel was used.
