Winter X Games

Winter's signature action sports event, X Games Aspen, is back in January, marking the 13th consecutive year that the world's best winter action sports athletes make the trek to glittering Aspen/Snowmass, Colorado.

Buttermilk Mountain once again provides an incomparable backdrop as more than 200 athletes take on the steep and the deep in pursuit of medals, prize money and fame in winter's most challenging sports: Skiing, Snowboarding and Snowmobiling.

2013 saw - who else? - Shaun White cruise to a sixth straight Snowboard SuperPipe gold, giving the crossover star 15 X Games gold medals between snowboarding and skateboarding, including eight in SuperPipe. This came later on the same day that Snowmobile SnoCross racer Tucker Hibbert claimed the first six-peat in Winter X Games history.

Sweden's Henrik Harlaut made freeskiing history with a nose butter triple cork 1620 for gold in Big Air, while snowboarder Elena Hight landed a maneuver no woman - or man for that matter - had ever done, a double backside alley-oop rodeo, showing once again that the X Games never stop pushing limits and breaking barriers in the world of action sports.

Repeat medalists, Olympic athletes both past and present, and rising stars on the action sports circuit - don't miss a moment with ESPN's LIVE coverage of X Games Aspen airing January 23 - 26.
